Quilt Fairy Class/ Event Types
Skill Levels

Curious
I have little to no experience with quilt making or sewing. I haven’t used or have little experience using a sewing machine.


Capable
I have experience with a rotary cutter and piecing and/or have basic sewing skills and knowledge. I have completed at least one or two projects using a sewing machine.



Confident
I am comfortable with interpreting patterns and designs and have made several quilts or other sewing projects. I have a good working knowledge of using a sewing machine.
Please take note that there are 4 styles of instruction with the Quilt Fairies. Those are: “Classes”, “Workshops”, “Hands On Longarm Workshops” and “Events”. Each of them has a separate cancellation policy.
There are a limited number of spots and involve in depth investments of time and money for our staff and the instructor who is often traveling. Our policies ensure that these investments are made for the largest possible class size.
“CLASSES” STUDENT CANCELLATION POLICY *If you need to cancel please email us as soon as possible at support@quiltedjoy.com.
Please note you can call or send an email to support@quiltedjoy.com
- In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 calendar days prior to class date for a FULL refund or you can transfer your student fees to another class.
- If you cancel 4 calendar days before class, a 50% forfeiture fee is deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer the remaining 50% of your student fees to another class if available.
- If you cancel 3 calendar days or less prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with a 3 day or less cancellation.
You can sell or give your class spot away to another quilter as desired. Please let us know their contact info if you choose to do this so we can keep our records straight.
“WORKSHOP” STUDENT CANCELLATION POLICY *If you need to cancel please email us as soon as possible at support@quiltedjoy.com Workshops are typically taught by a traveling teacher and all travel plans are bought & paid for a month in advance. So, we have to have a rock solid student count for the instructor. We will issue a full refund as long as we have 4 weeks notice before the first day of scheduled workshop class. *If you need to cancel with less than 4 weeks notice we will try to fill your spot as best as we can. If we are able to do so, we will issue you a refund less a $50.00 class placement fee. *In the case that we are unable to fill your spot we can issue you a 1/2 refund in the form of a credit for a future class or workshop. *Please understand that Workshops have a limited number of spots and involve in depth investments of time and money for our staff and the instructor who is often traveling. Our policies ensure that these investments are made for the largest possible class size.
“HANDS ON LONGARM” CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY *If you need to cancel please email us as soon as possible at support@quiltedjoy.com We will issue a full refund as long as we have 4 weeks notice before the first day of scheduled class. *If you need to cancel with less than 4 weeks notice we will try to fill your spot as best as we can. If we are able to do so, we will issue you a refund less a $50.00 class placement fee. *In the case that we are unable to fill your spot we can not offer any refund for our Hands On Workshops. *Please understand that Hands On Longarm Machine Workshops have an extremely limited number of student spots. We count on each of those spots to make these classes feasible.
“EVENTS” CANCELLATION POLICY *If you need to cancel, please email us as soon as possible at support@quiltedjoy.com. We will issue a full refund as long as we have 4 weeks’ notice before the first day of the event. *If you need to cancel with less than 4 weeks notice we will try to fill your spot as best as we can. If we are able to do so, we will issue you a refund less a $50.00 placement fee. *In the case that we are unable to fill your spot we can not offer any refund for our Events. *Please understand that Events have an extremely limited number of signup spots. We count on each of those spots to make these events feasible.
QUILTED JOY CANCELLATION POLICY *Both classes and workshops have a minimum number of students for the class to take place. In case the sign-ups fall under this number, we will cancel or reschedule the class. In the case of cancellation, you will be issued a full refund for the class registration fee. If you are able to take the rescheduled class or workshop your original payment will be applied towards your spot.
WAITING LIST POLICY *Each of our classes and workshops has a maximum number of students for the best learning environment. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for a workshop or class that is full please email your request and contact information to angela@quiltedjoy.com. In the case that a spot opens up we will contact each person on the wait list in the order in which we collected names. You will have 24 hours to respond to us before we contact the next person on the list.
MINORS: Anyone over the age of 16 may take our classes. Those under 16 will need to be with an adult guardian at all times.
