Frequently Asked Questions About the APQS Road Show
-
Who is the Road Show For?
The APQS Road Show is for anyone interested in purchasing a longarm quilting machine. The seminar is designed for quilters who do not currently own a longarm. This is an opportunity to learn more about APQS as a company and all the fabulous machines we offer. Plus, we’ll have special deals on all the machines that will only be available to those attending the Road Show!
While we will spend some time discussing how to use and maintain APQS machines, it will only be a brief overview. If you are a current longarm owner looking for more information about how to use your machine, we recommend you consider our APQS Beginning Longarm class instead. This is an in depth class about using the machines and comes free with the purchase of a new APQS longarm machine!

What happens at a Road Show?
The APQS Road Show is your opportunity to learn all about APQS longarm quilting machines! APQS Dealer Angela Huffman will begin talking about APQS and what sets our machines apart from other brands. We’ll then talk about each of our machine models and their differences. After the presentation, you’ll be able to play on all of our machines! We’ll have fabric loaded on all the machines and paper pantographs and design boards for you to quilt with. Don’t worry – you don’t need to know how to use the machine yet! Our Quilt Fairies will be ready to show you how to start and stop the machine and answer your questions!
-
Will there be special offers on APQS machines at the Road Show?
Yes! We’ll be able to offer some of the best deals on APQS machines during our Road Show.
-
Will we get some hands-on time with the machines?
Absolutely! We’ll have fabric loaded on all of our APQS longarm machines for the Road Show. We’ll also have paper pantographs and design boards on the machines so you can see the different ways to use a longarm machine. You’ll have an opportunity to quilt with each model of machine. We’ll also have our computerized machines ready for demonstrations too!
-
Will there be a demonstration of computerized quilting?
Absolutely! There are two computerized systems that will not negate your APQS lifetime warranty – the Quilt Path and the IntelliQuilter. We’ll share a demonstration of both systems for those who are interested in computerized quilting.

-

Are used machines available?
Sometimes. The APQS factory releases batches of certified used machines a few times a year. Used machines come with your choice of size table – there’s no difference in price. And all used machines from APQS come with a limited factory warranty. If there are any used machines available during the APQS Road Show, we will definitely talk about them during the seminar! Click here if you’d like to be notified when used APQS longarm machines become available!
-
Is the Road Show online?
No. An important part of the APQS Road Show is the opportunity to test drive all our machines. Unfortunately, that isn’t something we can offer virtually.
The APQS Road Show takes places at our Louisville, KY showroom.
-
Can I bring others with me?
Yes! Spouses, siblings, parents, friends, potential business partners, and others are all welcome and encouraged to come along! We do ask that young children stay home – these are large machines and we don’t want any little fingers to accidentally be pinched or poked by our machines.
We are also monitoring the ever changing COVID-19 pandemic and following guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Kentucky. As a result, space is limited to better ensure social distancing. We ask that you please limit your group to 1 or 2 people so others are still able to attend.
-
Can I take a machine home from the Road Show?
Unfortunately, no. All of our APQS longarm machines are made to order in Carroll, Iowa. During the Road Show, you’ll be able to test drive each of our machine models. If you find the perfect machine for you, you’ll be able to place an order for your machine with a fully refundable $500 deposit.
