We know it can feel a little scary to send your quilt away, but our Quilted Joy fairies are here to make the whole process stress-free and easy peasy. From start to finish, your quilt will be treated with the same love and care you put into every stitch.
Here’s how it works: After you place your order and tell us about your quilt, you’ll simply pack it up and send it to 12316 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Ky 40243. We’ll let you know the moment it arrives safe and sound. Then our quilting fairies will work their magic to bring your quilt to life. Standard turnaround is generally 3 to 4 weeks depending on the season, and priority service is available if you need it sooner.
When your quilt is complete, we’ll carefully ship it back to you using FedEx or UPS, with the option for signature delivery if you’d like a little extra peace of mind. And then comes the best part—snuggling up under your beautifully finished quilt and showing it off to your family and friends!

How does mail-in longarm quilting work?
You place your order and tell us about your quilt, then mail your finished quilt top and backing to our Louisville, Kentucky studio. We confirm it arrived, quilt it edge to edge on our longarm machines, and ship it back to you ready to bind. Or, add our convenient binding option and a Quilt Fairy will bind your quilt for you. Like magic!
How long does it take to get my quilt back?
Standard turnaround changes with seasons and holidays but generally it is 3-4 weeks once your quilt reaches us. Priority service is available if you need it sooner, plus shipping time in each direction.
What do I need to send with my quilt top?
Send your finished, pressed quilt top. If you are buying your backing fabric from us, leave a note in your box to let us know. If you are sending your backing fabric, we need 4 extra inches all the way around. Your quilt’s measurements are double checked when it arrives, so let us know the finished size when you order.
How is my quilt shipped back to me?
We ship completed quilts back by FedEx or UPS, and you can add signature delivery if you would like the extra peace of mind. Quilt by Mail is available in the continental United States only.
Can I choose the quilting design?
Yes. You can select it at the time you order on our website or, tell us about your quilt when you order and we will help you choose an edge to edge design and thread color that suits your quilt top.
