Social Media Content Creator

THE POSITION OVERVIEW
Quilted Joy is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist that will play a significant role in telling the story of our brand and supporting the marketing efforts of the company.
We are a growing company with a strong national following in the quilting industry. RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB SUMMARY
- Create and deploy our editorial calendar under the supervision of our fabulous Marketing Manager
- • Create engaging content, including graphics, videos, and blog posts
- • Nurtures and engages with our fervent online community while growing our online presence.
- • Takes product photos as needed, upload to website
- • Assist in Shooting and editing our video tutorials and livestreams
- • Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 20 lbs, and climbing the occasional ladder
Ideally you have a background in sewing or quilting already (or a bit of an interest). A college degree in Video Production/Communication with an emphasis in Marketing is preferable.
You will report to our Marketing Manager.

All while working in a supportinve environment where you don't have to walk 10 miles a day and be tethered to a computer that times your every move? Then we should chat!
Who are we? We're Quilted Joy, a unique quilt shop in Louisville, Ky focused on the joy in machine quilting. We are looking for someone who loves supporting our incredible community of sewists by gathering items orders and lovingly packaging them up for shipment. Does this sound like you? Good! Your day to day tasks would involve picking the items ordered, scanning those items into the shipping software and packing them up for shipment. We are looking for someone who wants to increase their skills and their career in our nationally recognized quilt shop with a growing following. You will also check in our inventory as it arrives and restock shelves as needed.

Shipper, Week Days 8:30am to 5pm
REPORTS TO: Logistic and Customer Support Lead
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Full Time
SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, 9am- 5pm.
JOB SUMMARY: The Shipper’s primary function is to pick, pack, and ship customer orders efficiently and accurately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Move through the aisle with cart and pick standard products from shelves based on the information on the pick list
Take cart to the shipping station
Scan order and double-check the accuracy of items
Select appropriate size box based on order size and contents
Pack products for shipping
Print the shipping label and tape box
Maintain a clean and tidy workstation
Perform duties with high accuracy and high productivity
Assist with receiving and restocking our incoming products
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or GED
Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment preferred
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and repeatedly
Standing for extended periods of time - work stations are equipped with supportive floor pads.
Walking as needed.
Reaching above shoulders repeatedly and moving up to 10 lbs each time.
Pushing/pulling full product carts repeatedly.

You'll cheer them on and celebrate their accomplishments as you ring up their purchases. If you already know about about quilting or sewing... fabulous! You are someone who enjoys chatting with strangers, and answering the occasional phone call.
We are also looking for Quilt Fairies to run our long arm machines to finish customer quilts. (Don't worry, we will train you on everything you need to know about long arm quilting).

Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful connections with customers.
Strong customer service orientation, with a genuine desire to assist and support individuals within the quilting community.
Shift is Tuesday-Saturday dayside schedule for our Full Time position. Part Time position is three days a week with two Saturdays a month.
Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 20 lbs.
Ideally you have a background in sewing or quilting already and live within 40 miles of Louisville but if you aren’t a sewist, don’t fret. We will teach you everything. It is more important that you are a people person who can nurture and celebrate another person’s creative endeavors.
