This was my seventh appearance on the Fons & Porter Love of Quilting show and every time I walk onto the set I feel the need to pinch myself. I get such a thrill being able to hang out with the crew, and the staff. The set of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting This episode I was on with Mary Fons and I just love hanging out with her. You know how you just "click" with some people? Well, that is how I feel when I'm around Mary. I wish I lived closer to her so I could hang out with her over a cup of coffee now and again. Angela Huffman and Mary Fons on the set of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting The episode I did is about how to take a traditional piecing pattern like the Cathedral Windows quilt and bend it into a machine quilting motif. I've got an APQS Millie on set so I can show the continuous path to take to accomplish the design. Amy Larimer at Blue Goose Quilt Company designed the quilt top I used on set to show off the technique. She used the art of Kandinsky as her inspiration for the quilt top and I went a little wild with my rulers. Piecing by Amy Larimer, Blue Goose Quilt Company. The episode ends with a tip about how to square up wide back fabrics. This episode should air across the country in the summer.
