Derby is over and summer is coming soon. Here are a few renter projects from the past few months to whet your appetite for summer quilting... Bargello quilt quilted on APQS longarm quilting machine at Quilted Joy Angelique made this very colorful bargello top and quilted it here recently. She wanted to quilt it from the front of the machine and did a simple meander in the bargello section with a grey thread that blended well. She changed things up a little by quilting a loopy meander in the light grey border. Lynn's For Keeps Quilt, quilted at Quilted Joy Lynn completed this top through a block of the month program available last year at a local quilt shop. The quilt is called "For Keeps" and the fabric line is Mon Ami by Moda. We suggested that she use the orange peel design boards to quilt it so that the quilting texture would be fairly uniform and the eye would focus on the beautiful blocks and fabrics. She absolutely loved it! Lynn used a cream thread for her quilting which worked well with the floral yet contemporary feel of the fabrics. Lynn's For Keeps Quilt, quilted at Quilted Joy Patriotic Quilt. Quilt of Valor. APQS Longarm Quilting. Quilted Joy Angela quilted this lap-sized quilt for a family member who is a Marine. We loved the star blocks and the alternate blocks with their wavy seams that give the impression of a waving flag. Angela chose the Star Dance pantograph for her quilting design - perfect! Patriotic Quilt. Quilt of Valor. APQS Longarm Quilting. Quilted Joy Modern Lap Quilt. Longarm Machine Rental. Quilted Joy. Lauren took the rental certification class and quilted this top in class. She used the butterfly design board and white thread. Design boards really are a great way for beginners to quilt on the longarm, since they are almost foolproof and help beginning quilters quilt amazingly intricate designs like this. Don't you love the turquoise and red fabric color combination? It's so cheerful! Modern Lap Quilt. Longarm Machine Rental. Quilted Joy. More renter updates coming soon - our APQS longarms have been very busy!
