Terry's Block for the Month
This quilt was a block of the month club at one of my local quilt shop gems, Among Friends. They have a club where you buy the first pattern and fabric and then each additional month is free as long as you bring in the block from the previous month all made up. It is a great way for newbies to learn to piece.
Terry chose the edge to edge pantograph, Cascade, for this quilt and the texture it gives to those beautiful purples, greens and blues is wonderful.
I especially like the snowball blocks used in the sashings. It allows each block to stand by itself and gives each block some breathing space.
You can see that the busy fabric in the outside border would not show custom quilting so the edge to edge quilting makes the most sense for this quilt top.
My favorite block is the quadruple T block. I'm sure there is a better name for the block, I'm sure. :)
Didn't Terry do a good job?
