Sandy's Maderia Heart Wedding Quilt
Sometimes I fall in love with a fabric and think about using it to make a gift. But then I start to wonder how soon that fabric will look dated. For example, I don't want to make a wedding gift that won't look in style in 10 years. I want the couple to be able to display it for years to come.
Well, Sandy has mastered the art of classic style. She picked perfect fabric for her Madeira Heart quilt she is giving to her son and new bride. It is a two tone palate of cream and neutrals that will look stylish for years and years.
This quilt pattern is such a perfect wedding quilt, don't you think? Can't you see it at the foot of the couple's bed on their 10th anniversary? I did custom quilting in all those hearts and put a triple heart border in the three outside borders.
Sandy chose a black binding which really helped add symmetry and gave the place for the eye to come to rest. She did a great job picking out the design elements for this quilt and I'm sure the couple will treasure it!
