Lark was back in the shop last week finishing one of her Christmas quilts, and it looks fantastic!

Lark and her sister Paula have been in quite a few times since their rental certification class earlier this year, and they’re always a joy to work with!  I think it’s especially wonderful they’ve found a passion for quilting together and can use it as an excuse to spend time together!  This time Lark was on her own, apparently Paula hasn’t finished her next top, but I’m sure we’ll see them both in here next time.

Quilting Design on Lark's Quilt

The quilt Lark was working on was a Christmas gift for her daughter.  Lark told me they worked together to choose all the elements of this quilt, from narrowing down the pattern (she found it in a magazine she picked up from Among Friends), to the colors, and even the quilting design.  Lark joked that some of her daughter’s choices weren’t what she would have chosen.

Backing on Lark's Quilt

I must say, I definitely approve her choice of backing: a lime green minky fabric.  I personally love working with this microfleece fabric.  And if my kids are fighting over these quilts on cold days, I know Lark’s daughter is really going to love this quilt too!
