Lorena's Wandering Butterfly Applique Quilt Featuring 30's Fabric
Twins! These quilts are exactly alike and were made for two lucky granddaughters by their grandmother, Lorena. She appliqued all of those lovely butterflies down with a beautiful button hole stitch. She also embroidered their little antennas on each one of the butterflies. This quilt was so much fun to work on. I used a wandering ribbon meander to give the illusion of butterflies in flight. Each butterfly also got their wings outlined in Superior's Monopoly thread.
Gorgeous!
