Evelyn's Woodland Vista Quilt
Evelyn works for one of my local quilt shop gems, Among Friends Quilt Shop, she made this top with a panel that she appliqued in the center of the top. She added pieced blocks around the center and those blocks add great symmetry.
To play off the woodland theme in this Woodland Vista Quilt, I used an acorn with pine cone edge to edge pattern in a medium green thread. It is a perfect compliment to the printed panels that are used on her top.
Recently the kids and I were given tickets to the Moscow Symphony. We had fantastic seats and I think I had a huge grin on my face during the entire concert. My kidlets were not quite as impressed but they still enjoyed seeing all the instruments. Here's a photo of us all dressed up and ready for our Saturday night out on the town!
