This weekend is the annual Kentucky Quilter’s Day Out show here in Louisville. If you are going, stop by my booth!  My quilt guild, Nimble Thimbles, will have a booth showing many of the projects and classes we’ve done over the last year (here’s Arline’s). One of those classes we’ll be showing off is the Fire Escape class I taught in the fall. We’ve had so many people make this quilt and every one of them looks so different!
This Fire Escape quilt was made by Carol and she used great earth tones to bring out the contemporary design of this pattern by Terry Atkinson.
Carol selected the Spikey Spiral pantograph over at Digi-Tech patterns for her quilt top.
Carol wanted a black bobbin and I used a chocolate top thread to complement the earth tones in the fabrics. It looks great and I know Carol will be pleased. I also did a few more quilts for Carol and I’ll be showing them over the next few days.
