Beverly brought this fun top in for me to quilt. No asterisk needed here - it's cute without qualification!

We did a little research on this, as we're often asked about the patterns and fabrics selected by our quilting customers for their tops. The pattern, Asterisk, was published in Quiltmaker magazine in 2010 and is still available from them. We don't know exactly what fabric line Beverly used, but it looks like it's a contemporary or modern fabric line. Asterick Quilt

Beverly found her backing among our extensive selection of wideback fabrics. She chose Tone on Tone Dotted Circles, which continues the geometric theme but in a different direction.

The edge-to-edge design that we chose is Pinched Square Spirals. It makes a really fun curving secondary design that is especially easy to see in her borders. At first, Beverly wanted to match the quilting thread to the color of the borders, but a silvery grey thread worked better across all of the different colors in her blocks and with the backing fabric.

I love your quilt, Beverly - thank you for bringing it to me for quilting!
