You may remember the scrappy 1930’s quilt I did for Karen a while back. Well, she wanted more quilting lines added to her quilt and it is done! The quilt has been made over and there is definitely more quilting on it this time! 🙂
I had to adjust the colors and lighting to allow the camera to pick up the quilting lines well. So if you are wondering why Karen’s fabrics look a little off, now you know!
I took the large meander lines and doubled them to make a ribbon. However, that still wasn’t enough quilting so I filled in the ribbon with curled figure eights which makes it look like folded candy ribbon.
I still wanted more quilting on it so I put a double line on each side of the ribbon to give it an heirloom edged ribbon look.
Finally, I decided to put in some ribbon curls to fill in some of the areas that I felt still needed to be quilted.
I think Karen is going to LOVE it. 🙂
