Karen's Scrap Basket
I had to adjust the colors and lighting to allow the camera to pick up the quilting lines well. So if you are wondering why Karen's fabrics look a little off, now you know!
I took the large meander lines and doubled them to make a ribbon. However, that still wasn't enough quilting so I filled in the ribbon with curled figure eights which makes it look like folded candy ribbon. I still wanted more quilting on it so I put a double line on each side of the ribbon to give it an heirloom edged ribbon look. Finally, I decided to put in some ribbon curls to fill in some of the areas that I felt still needed to be quilted. I think Karen is going to LOVE it. :)
