We kicked off the meeting with lots of different Square in a Square block designs. You can click here to get the Square in a Square Worksheet I was drawing on. This is a digital product, so to get the worksheet you’ll add it to your cart and checkout. The worksheet will be available for free until our next meeting on June 5. Once again, I'm super jealous of the quilting studio we toured during the Lookie-Loo Studio Tour! Pam has a beautiful space filled with her beautiful quilts. Thanks Pam for letting us peek into your home studio! And by the way, we've had a few questions about the bobbin tension gauge Pam recommended at the end of her tour. It's a Towa Bobbin Tension Gauge and you can find it right here in our shop. My new favorite things for May are Bethanne Nemesh's Garden Lines rulers! Bethanne is an incredible quilter and artist, so I'm not surprised she's come out with some game-changing rulers for machine quilting. I'm really loving the Garden Lines ruler for basic stitch in the ditch work and the Lotus Lines ruler for quilting around applique. You can find all of them here in the shop. I had lots of fun coming up with possible quilting designs for Joan's quilt. I'm not sure what the pattern is, if you know be sure to leave a comment below! There was so much negative space to really play and show off some quilting. I hope this helps you see the thought process for quilting designs. I rarely know how I want to quilt the whole quilt right away, but certain elements will jump out at me. As I map those out the other pieces of the puzzle start coming together!
