The summer is really heating up in more than one way! We’ve never had so many renters.  Everyone wants to come in out of the heat and finish their quilts.  We’ve gotten to see so many amazing quilts this month.  I’ve picked out just a few of them so you can see.

🌸Scrappy and Sweet with a Touch of Rosey Posey🌸

This one is from Mary.  She quilted this with a paper pantograph called Rosey Posey.  Isn’t it fun.  She was looking for a way to use up some of her scraps. I really like how there is a row of separated blocks to the side (or bottom depending on how you orient the quilt)  What a great way to make a quilt just a little bit wider or taller when an one more row of your blocks is just too much.

💛A Sunny Debate: Too Much Yellow or Just Right?💛

Beth's Quilt

Beth brought us this little pretty.  She was a certification student and brought this because she decided that she didn’t like how the background turned out.  Is the yellow too much?  I don’t agree with her.  I think the yellow is so bright and cheerful and compliments the block well.  What do you think?  She quilted this with a great paper pantograph called Calder.  I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

🇺🇸 Wrapped in Honor and a Touch of Elegance 🇺🇸

Christa's Quilt

What July roundup would be complete without a Quilt of Valor?  This first one is from Christa.  It’s a simple panel but the added fancy border does set it apart.  She used one of our fabulous Villa Rosa patterns called Grand Prize. It is a GREAT way to use a panel, yes? She used some great fabrics in the border and even got the directional prints to go in one direction.  We love that kind of detail!

🍂 Falling for Autumn Vibes 🍂

Merita's quilt

The last quilt is getting ready for fall.  Merita brought in this gorgeous fall leaf quilt built around a Bear’s Paw block. To add to the feeling of falling leaves and movement, she used a paper pantograph with swirls called Airborne.  The Quilt Fairies really liked the contrast of the vibrant batik colors to the grunge grey background.  She made a lot of excellent choices with this quilt and it turned out beautifully.

So there’s our summer so far!  It’s been hot and busy and we’re loving it.   We can’t wait to see how the rest of the summer pans out. If it’s anything like July has been, then it is going to be great!  We’d love to see what you’ve been working on as well. Connect with us on Facebook and Instagram and share your most recent creation.  Let’s all be inspired together.   Happy Quilting!
