Next month I get to teach one of my favorite classes again - The Peacock Paisley Party at MQX Midwest! Angela Huffman Peacock Paisley Party Longarm Quilting Class The Peacock Paisley Party is a hands on free motion quilting class exploring beautiful filler designs inspired by Zentangle. Instead of zentagnle's more traditional square containers, we'll be quilting within paisleys. I feel as though I've been drawn towards paisleys (I even have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to them). They can be big, small, skinny, fat. There's no such thing as a wrong or bad paisley. Those variations in shape can create some amazing quilting designs! Angela Huffman Peacock Paisley Party Longarm Quilting Class In my class samples I made fish, butterfly, and of course a peacock! I started with the basic paisley shape and added curls, leaves, and pebbles and manipulated them just a little to create something new and interesting. The greatest fun of teaching this class is seeing what my students create. Like this rooster. Doesn't he look so proud and handsome? Angela Huffman Peacock Paisley Party Longarm Quilting Class Or how about a penguin? That's something I never would have expected myself, but he just popped out of Liz's imagination! Angela Huffman Peacock Paisley Party Longarm Quilting Class Or how about these adorable little chicks and flower? Angela Huffman Peacock Paisley Party Longarm Quilting Class The possibilities are truly endless! I can't wait to see what my students at MQX - Midwest will come up with! I'd love to have you join me for the Peacock Paisley Party and any of my other classes at this year's show. MQX Midwest is being held in Springfield, IL at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, September 27-30, 2017. In addition to the Peacock Paisley Party I'll also be teaching other classes such as the Express Lane to the Modern Quilting Highway, a hands on longarm class, and several IQ computerized quilting classes. You can sign up for any of my classes here.
