Newbie Renters Get Colorful

This is Gravity, which was a block-of-the-month at The Cozy Quilter last year. It is composed of so many colors that Debbie focused on adding texture with the design boards, choosing to use the Baptist's fan over much of the quilt with an accent section of large and small spirals. Debbie used a rainbow Fantastico variegated thread to add colorful touches in the neutral background. Her backing is even more colorful! During her class Kim tried out design boards, so today she wanted to try the paper pantographs. She quilted the Star Dance paper pantograph, an overall stars and ribbons design that’s great for beginners who really want stars on their quilts. Jean took the rental certification class and quilted this jelly roll quilt using the design boards. See how beautifully her quilting shows up on both the front and back? Diane quilted this quilt during her rental certification class. Diane picked up this schoolhouse quilt top as part of the Cuddle Care program with the Louisville Nimble Thimbles, and is quilting it for a kiddo in need. She used the meandering design board for a simple gender neutral pattern that will make any kid happy.
