Two new pantographs released- Anticipation and Lake Susan

In high school I’d spend two weeks of every summer at a magical place called Montreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I learned so much about myself in those mountains and I went back for two summers in college to teach pottery there. To say I look at that spot on earth with fondness is an understatement.

In the middle of Montreat is a beautiful spot called Lake Susan. There are swans and fish and paddleboats and rock hopping adventures that all center around Lake Susan. It is the focal point of this little piece of heaven. It is my “thin spot” on the planet. 59613889

Recently I created an edge to edge pantograph which I entitled Lake Susan. Right now you can get either the digital version or the paper versionLake Susan

The next design of mine that just made it’s debut was featured in the Jan/Feb edition of Machine Quilting Unlimited magazine. It is called Anticipation. You can find it here in digital.

  1. Angela: I visited Montreat one summer and unfortunately Lake Susan had been drained!! I can’t remember what had happened, but for some reason, the water was gone. Montreat was still a beautiful and peaceful place, but I’m sure the Lake makes it much more so.

I have registered for my class and I’m looking forward to learning!
