RevolutionAir® threading, then nothing to balance

Drop the thread into a port and press push to thread loopers. Position the needle thread, press push to thread needles, and the machine threads them for you. Then the Automatic Thread Delivery system measures out the exact amount of thread the stitch you selected needs, so there are no tension dials and no threading order to get wrong. Choose the stitch and sew.

Change a needle with one hand and no screwdriver

The Snap-on Needle System is the feature nobody asks for until they own it. A serger needle is small, it sits in an awkward place, and the tiny clamp screw that holds it is famously easy to drop into the machine. On the Serenity the needle snaps in. No tool, no screw, no flashlight, no fishing around with tweezers. If you have ever put off changing a dull needle because of the hassle, this is the reason your stitches stay good.

Digital speed control and a needle that stops where you want

Set the speed with a button and read it off the panel rather than trying to hold a pace with your foot. The machine runs to 1,500 stitches a minute when you want it to and stays slow and steady when you do not. The needle positioning button decides whether the needles stop up or down, so the work stays anchored when you lift the foot to pivot around a corner, or releases cleanly when you are finished.

Feed dogs that drop, and the Wave Stitch

The drop feed system lowers the feed dogs so you can place fabric exactly where you want it instead of letting the teeth decide. That is what makes the Wave Stitch and the Flatlock Wave possible, two decorative stitches exclusive to Baby Lock that turn a finished edge into part of the design. Differential feed handles the ordinary work underneath all that: gathering a ruffle evenly, and keeping a knit seam flat instead of wavy.

The Compact Overlock Table comes with it

The patented Compact Overlock Table is included, not an accessory you discover you need later. It gives you a flat surface out in front of the needle so a long seam is supported rather than hanging off the edge of the machine, and it is what lets you fit the specialty attachments that do binding, taping and guided work. The Deluxe Trim Bin is included too, so the trimmings land in the bin instead of the floor.
