I want to send a big thank you to Claudia Pfeil for giving us two unforgettable days of machine quilting classes! I have been in love with Claudia's work for many years now. Don't believe me? Here's proof! In 2015 Claudia invited me to teach at her studio in Germany. After reminding her I could only teach in English, I immediately agreed and had such an incredible time. It was well past time for me to return the favor and bring Claudia to Louisville. We had a full classroom of 35 students who came from all over the area just to learn from this master quilter. When they walked into the studio they were greeted by two of Claudia's stunning show quilts. Just being able to see these quilts up close in person was enough to make the weekend worthwhile! Claudia taught six classes covering topics like filler designs, thread painting, and whole cloth design. Everyone left feeling inspired and ready to try some of Claudia's techniques. And a few folks even got to take home the samples Claudia made in class! Thank you again to Claudia for a truly (P)fantastic adventure in quilting! And thank you to all the students who made the class so much fun!
