This quilt is a block of the month mystery quilt I did for one of my local quilt shop gems, Among Friends Quilt Shop.
I was asked to keep this quilt a secret and then I forgot to post it once the quilt was revealed. I was so swamped in the last part of December that I wasn’t posting on the blog at all. I need to remember how wild December is and plan ahead next year!
I really love how unique the setting is for this quilt. Plus, there is so much white space that the quilting really stands out nicely.
The all over, edge to edge pantograph used on this quilt is “Oh My Feathers”. It is a dense panto that gives a meandering fancy feather feel all over the top.
I’ve forgotten how many people signed up for this mystery quilt but it is always popular at the shop. This quilt could stand up to over the top custom quilting but the cost of that type of quilting on a quilt this size can be daunting.
I love showing clients how beautiful a well chosen pantograph can be on a quilt and how affordable it is as well.
I’m sorry about how quiet I’ve been on the blog over the last couple of weeks. I wanted to focus on my kidlets when I wasn’t working and posting on the blog kind of fell off my to-do list. Once the kids get back in school things should get a bit easier. 🙂
