Omni thread is a staff favorite here at Quilted Joy! It is a strong Tex 30 (approximately 40 weight) 100% polyester thread. It has a matte finish that looks and feels like cotton. Because it is a polyester thread it is much stronger than regular cotton threads. It's strength makes Omni a great beginner thread because there are very few problems using it. This machine quilting thread can also be used for other sewing and serging purposes including clothing construction and machine sewing. This is a great alternative to Glide if you're looking for a thread with less sheen. Omni comes in 6,000 yard cones and is available in many solid colors.
