Last week I announced that Linda Hrcka of The Quilted Pineapple would be visiting Quilted Joy to teach a two day workshop. I thought I was super excited to have Linda here, but I think you guys might be even more excited. There are only a few spots still available for Linda’s classes. Linda will be teaching five classes here at Quilted Joy in Louisville, KY on March 15-16, 2019. All of her classes will be lecture/demo and will cover topics like feathers, ruler work, curved quilting, and more. Her classes are perfect for quilters of all skill levels and for both stand up and sit down quilters. We’ll have a camera displaying on a jumbo screen to make it easy for everyone to see Linda’s quilting.

We’ll also be providing a delicious deli lunch for both days of classes, so come ready to learn!

After class each day we’ll also host an optional open studio until 9:00pm. During this time you can play on our longarm quilting machines and practice some of the techniques you learned during class at no additional cost. Use your class time soaking in Linda’s knowledge, then spend as much time as you like stitching up your new skills!

The World of Feathers

Make feathers your “bread and butter” quilting. Linda Hrcka will take the mystery and fear out of quilting the allusive feather. Explore how feathers can enhance every quilt from modern to traditional. Linda will show you step by step how to create a wide array of feathers. You will learn to use them in block designs, borders, and accents.

Fun with Fillers

This class is full of fun, new and creative ideas to use fillers to enhance your quilt. From basic designs to dense fillers, fillers can create beautiful dimension to your quilt. Linda will show you how the most basic designs can enhance your quilt. Learn tips and techniques to quilt fillers that flow with the quilt. Linda will also demonstrate how threads play a design role with fillers. You will leave with an assortment of creative ideas to create that WOW factor everyone loves!
