High School Jerseys Quilt
I was finally home for a few days last week, and I have A LOT of catching up to do! Customer quilts were stacking up while I was traveling, so it was time to get busy.
Lillian made this quilt for her grandson, who I can tell is a busy guy! It looks like he plays basketball and baseball for Seneca, one of the high schools here in Louisville. Whenever a customer brings in a T-shirt quilt, I typically recommend the Budget Value Meander Quilting. It's not only the most affordable option, but it also allows me to avoid potential trouble areas - like thick screen prints or embroidery.
We decided a Hobbs 100% polyester batting would work well for this quilt. She knew she needed a red backing fabric, but I didn't make it easy on her! I have several red wide backs here, and she struggled to choose just one. She eventually landed on the red Spot On backing fabric, which matches nicely with the top.
Lillian was very pleased when she picked up her quilt, and I'm sure her grandson will love it!
