Becky's Church Quilt & Apollo's Bathtub Bandit
Becky makes a quilt with her church group each year to raise money for the church. This is the second year I've quilted her top and I like this one best. The fabric palate is so sophisticated and I really like the whimsical polka dots in the inner border. I used a light sand colored thread and Becky selected the Featheration edge to edge pantograph. I love the romantic feel this pantograph gives to a top. I'm hoping her church is able to make lots of money with the auction. Our little Oscar kitten is doing great and it is very difficult to get a photo in focus unless he is sleeping. He is carefully watching our parrot and looking for ways to get as close as possible. What he doesn't know is that the parrot's beak will quickly stop the curiosity of this cat.
See the pie plate he is sleeping in? That is the bird's bathing dish. Apollo gets in the sink in his pie plate and flops around under the faucet as he shakes his tail feathers. It is the cutest thing ever and I'm sure Apollo was quite unhappy that Oscar has overtaken his bathtub. Meanwhile, Oscar is oblivious and just enjoys his new perch.
