Barbara's Heart and Home Quilt
Barbara made this beautiful House and Home Block of the Month. It is so intricate! She did needle turn applique on this quilt and the amount of work it took to put this top together is mind boggling.
The houses were so fun to quilt. I used echo quilting around the houses and added outline stitching inside the houses to add dimension and details. The houses have details added with printed fabric for the signage in the quilt shop.A flower garden for the front stoop with hearts coming out of the chimney.
This house will have flower buds on the stem but those are 3D and best to add after the quilting is done. The kitties in the windows are from printed fabric just like the roman shades in the windows.
I put feathers in the outside border and curls in the green ribbon. The sashings have a double feather curl. The Tree has a great each shape that emphasizes all of her hard work. She did a GREAT job!
