This Quilt Expression 4.0 is collected from our shop in Louisville. We do not ship it. It has been fully inspected and serviced by our Fix-It Fairy team and carries a one year parts and labor warranty from Quilted Joy.
The Quilt Expression 4.0 has been a quilters' favorite for years, and it is easy to see why. Even stitching, a big work area, controls that stay out of your way, and the Original IDT system doing the quiet work underneath.
Buying one pre-loved is a good way into a machine at this level, and this one has already been through our workshop.
Built around Original IDT
A second set of feed teeth comes down from above and moves the top layer at exactly the rate the feed dogs move the bottom one. Piecing lands where you pinned it, plaids meet, and a quilt sandwich comes out the far side square.
Over 200 built-in stitches cover utility work, quilting and decorative rows. The sewing space is generous enough for a quilt to sit in while you work on it.
The features you reach for without thinking
An automatic thread cutter, so you are not picking up snips between seams. A start and stop button, so you can sew a long seam or free-motion without the foot pedal. A speed control slider that holds whatever pace you set. And an LCD display that keeps the settings where you can read them.

Can this machine be shipped?
No. This one is local pickup only from our shop in Louisville, Kentucky. The upside is that you get to sit at it and sew on it before you take it home, and we will thread it with you.
What warranty comes with a pre-loved machine?
A one year parts and labor warranty from Quilted Joy. PFAFF's factory warranty covers the original purchaser only, so it does not carry over to a pre-loved machine. Ours takes its place, and the technicians who serviced it are the same ones who would handle a claim.
What condition is it in?
It has been fully inspected and serviced by the Quilted Joy Fix-It Fairy team before being listed. Call us at (502) 718-7148 and we will describe its condition honestly, or come and look at it yourself.
Is the Quilt Expression 4.0 good for quilting?
It was designed for it. The Original IDT dual feed keeps the layers moving together so a quilt sandwich comes out square, the sewing space is generous enough for a quilt to sit in, and both the quarter inch quilting foot and a free-motion foot are included.
What presser feet are included?
0A standard, 1A fancy stitch, 3 blindhem, 4 zipper and the quarter inch quilting foot, all for the IDT system, plus the 2A fancy stitch foot, the 5A Sensormatic and 5M manual buttonhole feet, the 6A Sensormatic free-motion foot and the 7 rolled hem foot for IDT at 3mm.
What else comes with it?
The extension table, the hard cover, an edge guide, a felt pad, bobbins, spool caps in three sizes, a screwdriver, a seam ripper, a brush and the multi-purpose tool.
