Machine Information
One stitch, done better than anything else does it
The Accomplish 2 sews a straight stitch. That is the whole list, and it is the point. No zigzag, no buttonholes, no decorative stitches, nothing to select. What you get instead is 1,500 stitches a minute, 8 inches of workspace to the right of the needle, an industrial-style pin feed system and a metal rotary hook, in a machine that weighs 24 pounds and sits on a table. Quilters buy it as a second machine and then find they do most of their piecing on it.

Please do not buy this as your only machine. It cannot make a buttonhole, finish an edge or applique anything. However, bought as a piecing and quilting workhorse alongside a computerized machine, it is one of the best-value things we sell. This machine is powerful and that makes it very popular with our bag makers. Call us at (502) 718-7148 or send us an email.

Nearly two feet of flat table, included
The quilting extension table comes with the machine and gives you close to 24 inches of continuous flat surface, with 8 inches of it to the right of the needle. A quilt sits on that instead of hanging off an edge and dragging your seam crooked. The telescoping thread stand handles cones of thread that will not fit on a spool pin, which is what you want when you are piecing all day.

1,500 stitches a minute, and one needle position
Because the needle only ever goes straight up and down in one place, the needle plate has a single small round hole instead of a wide slot. That is why the stitch quality on this machine is what it is: there is nowhere for fine fabric to be pushed down into, so points stay sharp and thin cottons do not get chewed. Stitch length adjusts up to 7mm. The machine runs at 1,500 stitches a minute, nearly twice most domestic machines.

The Precision Pin Feed System
Instead of ordinary feed dogs, the Accomplish 2 uses a pin feed that comes up through the needle plate and moves the fabric from a single point rather than gripping it between teeth and a foot. Bag makers who enjoy working with sturdy canvas, cork, or other specialty material really love how the pin system keeps everything in its proper place with shifting. The feed height adjusts through four settings, and drops entirely for free-motion quilting. There is a built-in needle threader and an automatic thread cutter on a button.

Knee lift and needle up or down
The detachable knee lift raises the presser foot without either hand leaving the work, which is fantastic when you are chain piecing or rotating a project under the needle. The needle stops up or down on a button, so you can pivot at a corner with the work anchored and set it down without a hand ever going near the flywheel. On a machine this fast, having both of those under a knee and a fingertip is what keeps it accurate.

Seven feet, and a metal rotary hook
Seven presser feet come with it, including a 1/4 inch foot for piecing, a free-motion quilting foot, a flex-reaction foot, a rolled hem foot, an invisible zipper foot and a zipper foot. The bobbin is a side-loading metal rotary hook with its own thread cutter, which is the sort of mechanism that belongs on a machine used hard. A seam guide, soft cover, bobbins and the knee lift are all in the box.

Other Machines to Consider
Baby Lock Accomplish 2 Sewing Machine with FREE online sewing classes — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Baby Lock Accomplish 2?
The Accomplish 2 is a high-speed straight-stitch sewing and quilting machine. It sews one stitch, a straight stitch, at up to 1,500 stitches a minute, with 8 inches of workspace to the right of the needle, Baby Lock's Precision Pin Feed System, a metal rotary hook bobbin, an automatic thread cutter, a knee lift and a quilting extension table.
Does the Accomplish 2 zigzag?
No, and this is the most important thing to understand before buying one. It sews a straight stitch only. That means no buttonholes, no satin stitch applique, no overcasting or edge finishing, and no decorative or utility stitch library. Most people buy it as a second machine alongside a computerized one.
Why would I want a machine that only sews straight?
Because it sews that one stitch better. The needle plate has a single small round hole instead of a wide slot, so there is nowhere for fine fabric to be pushed down into. Points stay sharp, thin cottons do not get chewed, and it runs at nearly twice the speed of a domestic machine. For piecing and straight-line quilting it is hard to beat.
What is the Precision Pin Feed System?
Instead of ordinary feed dogs gripping the fabric between teeth and a foot, a pin comes up through the needle plate and moves the fabric from a single point. Layers stay aligned, nothing gets flattened, and a quilt sandwich feeds without the top shifting ahead of the backing. The feed height adjusts through four settings and drops entirely for free-motion quilting.
Does the Accomplish 2 come with a walking foot?
No. Seven presser feet come with the machine, including a 1/4 inch foot, a free-motion quilting foot, a flex-reaction foot, a rolled hem foot, an invisible zipper foot and a zipper foot. A walking foot is a separate accessory. The pin feed does much of what a walking foot does, but they are not the same thing.
Can I pay for the Accomplish 2 over time?
You will see a Shop Pay Installments payment estimate on this page. Choose Shop Pay at checkout to split the purchase into payments if you qualify. You can also call the shop at (502) 718-7148 and we will walk you through the options.
