Terri works at one of my local quilt shop gems, Among Friends Quilt Shop. She made this tshirt quilt for her sister for Christmas and is incredibly sentimental to her. I was honored that she asked me to quilt it for her.
She explained to me that her sister lost a baby years ago and ever since then the entire family participates in the March of Dimes walk a thons. She has been collecting shirts each year and put them all into a snuggle quilt this year as a gift for her sister. Terri chose the basic meander for her top and it allowed the shirts to be the stars while the quilting recessed into the background. What a wonderful gift to find under the tree. So much love and support is wrapped up into each of those shirts!
