Nothing adds a little of everything to ones life like a baby. A little more love, a little more joy, a little more mess, and little more noise, but it is all worth it in the end. Lisa added a little more to her repertoire of quilts with this plus baby quilt. Made of only three fabrics, it is simple and elegant. The colors are cool and relaxing, making it a little more likely for a young active mind to settle down and sleep. Lisa's Plus Sign Baby Quilt, quilted by Angela Huffman
Plus Fabric Choice
If you look up design trends for 2018, you’ll see that Lisa hit a couple of them. The minimalist design of a simple plus sign definitely fits a modern trend. It draws beauty on clean straight lines and large open space. The use of solids also adds to that. Your eye is focused on the piecing of the quilt instead of being distracted by bold and flashy prints. The simple color palette is also very trendy. Gray is very popular, and that mint is so relaxing. Lisa's Plus Sign Baby Quilt, quilted by Angela Huffman
Plus Quilting Choice
Having all of this blank solid space between the plus signs also makes the quilting really stand out. She choose to have the quilt finished with the Double Bubble edge to edge quilting pattern. I use the IntelliQuilter system to create the edge to edge designs that my clients ask me to put on their quilts. It’s the reason all those circles are so perfectly round and even. Plus, I think the round bubbles look very organic winding across the quilt. It adds some movement and flow to the quilt. Grey and White Polka Dot Quilt Backing Lisa did an amazing job with this quilt. Simple and sophisticated, it would be well received by anyone. When you are looking to add a little more to your life, think about adding a simple and sophisticated quilt like Lisa. Keeping up with current trends can be challenging, but the results can be a real plus. Looking forward to some more amazing quilts from Lisa. Lisa's Plus Sign Baby Quilt, quilted by Angela Huffman
