Peggy's Scrap Basket
This is a fun scrappy quilt that Peggy made with wonderful bright fabrics. I find that brights and batiks follow me home from the quilt shop so I really appreciate how big her stash must be to make a scrappy quilt this size.
The blocks themselves are very angular and have strong straight lines in the visual design. I knew I wanted to soften that with curves and when I noticed the sashing fabric, I knew what edge to edge design it should have.
Swirls!
This pantograph is fun and playful - just right for a scrappy quilt of brights.
The kids are back from their weekend at the lake with their dad and are doting over our new kitten, Oscar. I doubt he'll ever learn to walk because they want to carry him EVERYWHERE. He's adorable and is absolutely a lap cat. Right now he is sleeping in his bed and my kidlets are lamenting that they have nothing to do - they are bored!
The photo below is of him with BirdMan's Mr. Kitty. They are the same size!
Oscar is going to be a very spoiled kitty. :)
