These are a few more quilts from the recent NQA show in Columbus Ohio. If I had a ribbon to give out it would have gone to this quilt. I love, love, love it. It is a variation on a mariners compass and what makes it pop for me is the circles and the two color palette. This quilt was made by Jo Caraway.

Sticking with just red and white makes this quilt incredibly powerful. I had no idea a red and white quilt was on my bucket list but I sure do now!

This next one pulled me in with the cross hatching she used to give the entire quilt a compelling pop! What I like about the cross hatching is that she used micro stippling in the negative space to really allow the basket weaving pattern of the quilting to come forward. It was made by Linda Matteotti.

Finally, I was pulled into this lone star quilt. It is another one on my bucket list. I’m pretty sure all the quilting on this one was done with an Intelliquilter. It was made by Cyndi McChesney

Can you see the ribbon she used in each of the diamonds in the lone star? It is a wonderful way to treat a lone star layout. Well deserved ribbon here!
