The last few days have been cold, dreary, and wintery. So how about a quilt to remind you of summers at the beach? Kathleen dropped off this beautiful pinwheel quilt for quilting. Don't those blues and greens remind you of ocean waves and sea glass? This would be a wonderful summery quilt! There's a lot of pieces in the quilt, and Kathleen did an amazing job putting it together! We thought a pantograph would be the best quilting option for her quilt. I wanted a design that would add lots of quilty texture, and the Cascade pantograph was the perfect fit! This is one of my favorite pantographs and looks amazing on so many different quilts! I thought it even looked like ocean waves floating across her quilt. And it looks absolutely amazing on the back too! I thought about using a thread that would closely match the turquoise backing fabric, but I thought it was too light on the top. Instead I chose a medium blue and you can really appreciate the quilting from the back. Now her quilt feels reversible! Kathleen's seaside quilt is so beautiful and she was so pleased when she came to pick it up. Thanks Kathleen!
