Debbie's Pinched Square Spiral
Debbie brought me this quilt and told me it was one of those patterns she'd never, never, never make again.
Apparently keeping track of the piecing and the order of the blocks was not enjoyable. Some patterns are like that and you have to walk away from them frequently or you'll end up flinging them across the room. :)
It was certainly worth the effort, though. Don't you think? Like most of Debbie's quilts this one has such a happy outgoing color palate- just like her!
I used the pinched square spiral edge to edge pattern for the quilting and the curves look very nice against all the long straight lines of the piecing. It almost gives a orange peel design look to the quilt top.
This particular pantograph is one of the many that comes with Intelliquilter. It really looks great!
I thought you might like to see the indoor statue that completely freaks me out every time I see it. I got it from my grandparents and out of the corner of my eye it is so realistic looking. Yesterday I found Oskar sitting beside it like he has a new found friend. A very quiet friend but a friend none the less.
