Colorful Longarm Renters
Nelda made this quilt featuring a nine patch variation on point for her husband. Choosing a quilting design for a masculine quilt like this can sometimes be a challenge. So many of our favorite designs are simply too feminine or flowery for many men. We have several pantographs that are more leafy than flowery, and more angular than round that will usually work well on a man's quilt. Nelda choose the Lime Tree pantograph, a nice leafy pattern that looked great on her quilt!
These sisters love to quilt together! It’s so much fun to have them come in and work on quilts here at the shop, not only because of their bright and positive personalities but also because they usually bring in bright and colorful quilts! We were in love with the colors on these quilts. They are so eye catching! My other favorite part is they’re backing fabrics. On one of Lark’s previous quilts she brought her daughter to the shop to choose her backing fabric. Not surprisingly, her daughter made a beeline for our cuddle dot fabrics. This micro fleece is so soft and my kids fight for the quilts with this stuff on the back! After that first quilt with minke, these two want it on all of their quilts. Paula choose the azure cuddle dot, while Lark used the baby blue, and both quilts look great! These two prefer the design boards over the paper pantographs, and they both chose fun, flowery patterns.
Before Christmas, Vivian brought in these three panel quilts. She was quilting these for her friend Sandy who even came to the showroom to watch Vivian quilt them. These were all Christmas gifts for Sandy’s grandkids. We loved all of those fun novelty panels and fabrics! Vivian added some simple meander quilting to each of these quilts. I think some grandkids were very happy Christmas morning!
