Busy Busy Renters!
Our renters are, as always, eager to get those projects finished! Here are a few recently-quilted quilts...
Donna pieced this throw-sized top and wanted to use a design with good overall texture so the blocks would stand out. She chose the orange peel design boards for her quilt and used a light neutral thread for her quilting. The orange peel design boards are not only dependable, but quick to use as a quilting design so she was done in a flash.
Julie is a relatively new quilter. What we love about new quilters is that they are willing to leap in with both feet and do things that some more experienced quilters would never attempt. Her rental certification top was this half-scale Underground Railroad quilt, which she quilted with the Lime Tree pantograph and a cream thread.
Julie returned just a few days later to quilt her second quilt, this block-of-the-month designed by Nancy Rink which was offered at one of our local quilt shops. She quilted this king-sized top beautifully, using the Voltage pantograph. Please see the previous paragraph for my comment about new quilters leaping in with both feet!
Finally, Mary Ann finished this top which incorporates blocks by Lori Holt (Farm Girl Vintage) in different sizes. She quilted her top from the front of the machine, using a freehand looping design in a light neutral thread. Don't you love how some of the blocks are set inside the barns? She included a cow, too!
Great job, ladies - see you again soon!
