So many quilts, so little time!
The eye candy at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show is fantastic. I can’t possibly show you photos of all the quilts in the show so I’ll just share photos of the ones I really like.
This one is called Persistance and was made by Karen Kielmeyer. She didn’t provide a description of it but it is listed as an original design and machine pieced/machine quilted. She obviously used a longarm quilting machine and did a great job. It won a blue ribbon for Best Machine Workmanship.

The next quilt for you to look at is by Sandy Curran and it won the Blue Ribbon in the Innovative Category. She is from Newport News so she lives in the area and must have been over the moon when she discovered her quilt had won!
The name of this quilt is “Jack” and, obviously, features a well known actor. I had never paid Jack Nicholson’s eyebrows much attention in the past. Just look at how much expression they have depending on how they are slanted!

Love the Jack quilt. Wonder how she did it. Gotta say, it’s a little creepy though. 😉
