Tucker University: Square Squared
Ready to take your piecing accuracy to the next level? In this Tucker University class, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the Studio 180 Design Square Squared® tool and discover just how versatile this little tool can be!
We’ll focus on creating the Square Squared unit—the classic “square-in-a-square” design—using Studio 180 Design’s signature oversize-and-trim method. You’ll learn how to cut your pieces, construct the unit, and trim it to a precise finished size for beautifully accurate points and consistent blocks.
But we won’t stop there! You’ll also explore how Square Squared units appear in traditional quilt blocks and how you can use them to create Little Houses and other fun designs. You’ll learn to recognize this versatile unit when you encounter it in other quilt patterns, giving you another technique you can take with you into future projects.
This is a technique-focused class designed to help you understand your Studio 180 tool—not just follow a pattern. Whether you're new to the Square Squared tool or have one sitting in your sewing room waiting to be used, you'll leave with greater confidence, improved piecing accuracy, and new possibilities for your quilting.
