DecoBob thread is an 80 weight cottonized polyester thread, which means the 100% polyester thread is treated to behave like cotton. It has no stretch, and though delicate, it is very strong! This super skinny thread can be paired with almost any top thread you can think of! That skinny thread also means you'll have more thread per bobbin - 210 yards for M sized bobbins, and 110 yards for L sized bobbins. DecoBob prewound bobbins are wound on plastic bobbins with perfectly consistent tension, and are absent of glue or wax residues.

I'm working on a No-FN-Kings quilt, with a frankensteined backing. I'm currently laying down my stabilization with invisible thread on the top and the lilac in the bobbin -- it's a perfect complementary match on the back. I love the way the 80 wt lilac holds it down while adding no color-clanging. The lilac is an excellent replacement for any of the grey family.
