Cuts Jump Stitches

Think about how long it takes to neatly trim off jump threads. Even when spending the time to be thorough, it can be difficult to trim off the entire jump stitch cleanly. Regardless of how sharp your snips are, you still get tiny threads sticking up because you can’t get close enough. Have the Flare automatically cut threads in the middle of an individual color segment instead of after each color. This makes it so the thread no longer travels across the hoop or your design when changing positions, making your embroidery cleaner than ever.

Threading needles on the Baby Lock Flare is a breeze with its advanced, easy-to-use needle threader. With just a few simple motions, your needle is threaded and ready to use. It’s so simple; you can easily do it with one hand!

Design Database Transfer

Managing your embroidery designs has never been easier! Download Design Database Transfer, a completely FREE embroidery design management tool, to easily view all of your embroidery designs and transfer the designs wirelessly to your Baby Lock Flare.

Easily transfer embroidery designs via Wi-fi to the Flare. Transfer formats include .pes, .phc, .phx, and .dst. Organize your embroidery design library by creating new folders, moving and copying files to different folders, changing file names, or deleting files. Quickly search for an embroidery design by name, format, stitch count, size, etc. Review embroidery design info such as size, estimated sewing time, and number of colors.

Push Button Features

Push-button features make it easy to choose your settings on the Flare. You can position the needle up or down, cut thread, raise and lower the presser foot, and start and stop sewing.

On Screen Editing

Make changes such as resizing, rotation, and movement to your embroidery design directly on the built-in screen. Changes with updates live in the screen, making it super easy to make tweaks. Other features include the ability to combine designs, 1° 10° and 90° pattern rotation, design enlargement and reduction (up to 20% down to 10%), mirror imaging, and color selections.

The Flare features 16 built-in embroidery fonts that are fully editable like the designs. You can single out individual letters to make changes to so you can create something truly unique.

Color LCD Touch Screen

The full-color LCD touch screen is 4.85" X 2.5" and displays estimated embroidery time display and stitch count, needle position placement (1, 10, or 100 stitch increments), measurements displayed in inches or millimeters (mm), thread color indicator, an on-screen hoop size indicator, low bobbin thread indicator, and 300 color names.

Thread Color Sorting

When embroidering the same design more than once in the same hoop, activating Color Sort will rearrange the embroidery order to minimize stopping for thread changes.

Large Embroidery Field

Everyone knows that having to re-hoop is an annoying task. That's why Babylock gave this machine a large 6-1/4" x 10-1/4" (160mm x 260mm) embroidery field. Enjoy the ability to stitch bigger and faster embroidery designs with the Flare performing 850 stitches per minute. It reads embroidery designs with a stitch capacity of up to 200,000 stitches per design, with 9-point trial checkpoints, and a 1MB embroidery memory storage. Supported embroidery file types: .pes, .phc, and .dst.

Wifi Enabled

By using Design Database Transfer, you can easily send your embroidery designs from your computer to the Flare using WIFI or USB. Also, when the WLAN connection is enabled, you will receive notifications when new updates are available for your Baby Lock Flare embroidery machine.
