Signed Back Issues, From the Show's Co-Host
Every issue on this page is signed by hand by Angela Huffman, who owns Quilted Joy and co-hosts Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting on PBS. Not a printed signature — she sits down and signs them.
These are also not simply whichever issues happened to arrive. Each one carries a quilt Angela designed, which is why these particular issues are the ones we stock. If you are hunting a specific pattern of hers, the issue you need is almost certainly on this page.
They are single copies, not a subscription, and when an issue is gone we cannot get more.
Which Issue Has the Quilt You Are Looking For

If you bought one of our Love of Quilting quilt kits in the Fabric Only version, this is where you find the pattern that goes with it. The kit listing names the issue you need.
What Is Actually Inside an Issue
Each issue runs 10 to 15 quilt patterns across a genuine range of skill levels, leaning traditional without staying there. The Sew Easy Lessons break a technique down step by step, and each lesson has an online video so you can watch it done rather than work it out from a diagram.
That combination is the reason these issues stay useful long after the month on the cover. A magazine you keep on the shelf for a lesson you have not needed yet is doing more work than one you read once.
A Note on Availability
Back issues are finite. We buy a quantity, Angela signs them, and when they sell out that is the end of it — a magazine cannot be reprinted the way a pattern can. Recent issues are $14.99 and the older ones are $9.99, which is less a pricing strategy than an accident of when they were printed.
The publication schedule changed along the way, too: the 2022 and 2023 issues are bimonthly, 2024 brought a double issue, and everything since is seasonal. So if you are looking for something from a particular month and cannot find it, the issue you want may be a season instead.

Are these magazines actually signed?
Yes. Angela Huffman signs each copy by hand before it goes out. It is not a printed or facsimile signature.

Blueberry Jam is in Summer 2026, Lavender Roads in Spring 2026, Meadow Whirl in Winter 2026, Fair Charm in Fall 2025, Signed With Love in July/August 2023, and Run for the Roses and Moonlight Mermaid in May/June 2022. The Secret Meadow mystery quilt was split across two issues for the magazine's 25th anniversary, with the second half in the July–October 2024 double issue.
I bought a quilt kit. Do I need the magazine too?
Only if you chose the Fabric Only version of the kit, which is priced for subscribers who already have the issue. The Quilt Kit with Pattern version includes the correct signed issue in the box.

Is this a magazine subscription?
No. These are individual issues, sold one at a time while we have them. Subscriptions are handled by the publisher, not by us.
What is included in each issue?
Ten to fifteen quilt patterns, a mix of traditional and contemporary designs across several skill levels, and the Sew Easy Lessons — short technique tutorials that each come with an online video.
Who is Angela Huffman?
She owns Quilted Joy, teaches here, and co-hosts Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting on PBS. Her quilt designs appear regularly in the magazine, and several of them are available here as complete kits.
Why do you only carry some issues?
Because these are the ones with Angela's designs in them. We are not a newsstand — this is a shelf of the issues our own designer is published in, kept for the quilters who want the pattern, the signature, or both.
What happens when an issue sells out?
It is gone. Magazines are not reprinted on demand, so once a back issue sells through we usually cannot replace it. If there is an issue you have been meaning to pick up, that is your answer on whether to wait.
Can Quilted Joy help me find a pattern I remember but cannot name?
Very often, yes. Describe it — the colors, roughly when you saw it, whether it was on the show or in the magazine — and a Quilt Fairy will have a good chance of placing it. We have been close to this magazine for a long time.
