Patchwork Kicks Class

Step into something truly unique in this creative shoe-making workshop featuring Patchwork Kicks kits! In this hands-on class, students will create their very own custom shoes using quilting cottons, cork, canvas, or other favorite fabrics while learning the exciting process of assembling wearable footwear from start to finish.

These one-of-a-kind shoes combine sewing, creativity, and personal style into a project that is both fun and functional. Whether you want bold prints, modern patchwork, whimsical florals, or coordinated solids, your finished shoes will be completely personalized and unlike anything found in stores.

Using the Patchwork Kicks kit system, students will learn how to prepare fabric, stabilize materials, assemble shoe components, and construct comfortable handmade footwear with professional-looking results. The class focuses on both creativity and technique, making it a rewarding experience for adventurous beginners and experienced sewists alike.

Required Supplies:

Patchwork Kicks Kit 

1 Fat Quarter (outside and tongue)

1 Fat Quarter (inside lining)

1 Fat Quarter for Bias Binding (if desired)

Hammer

Marking Pen

Pattern Ease (0ptional)

Sewing machine in good working order with foot pedal and all feet- 1⁄4 inch piecing foot

Manual for your machine

Please put a new needle in your sewing machine

Rotary cutter (a new blade is recommended)

Small cutting mat (if you’d like your own at your station)

Pins (we like the Magic Pins or clips)

Frixion / fabric marking pen

Scissors

Seam Ripper- for your neighbor to borrow :)

Thread- coordinating color
