So, in my last post I showed you Arline's choices for her Sunbonnet Sue quilt. Which one of the designs for Sunbonnet Sue would you have chosen? Arline liked the rambling ribbon flowing around Sue like a frame.

The inner border got circles which reminds me of Sue's buttons. My favorite part of Arline's quilt, though, were all the many hats Sue has to choose from. It is a bit like the modern woman's life, eh? I have so many hats to wear each day that some days I don't know which to put on first!

She said she noticed that she had many more hats leftover when she was constructing the top. She played around with some ideas and really liked the look of the hats breaking up the intersection of the sashings. She then broke out her stash and made enough hats for the whole quilt. A design opportunity if there ever was one, eh? Up next, another 5 little monkey quilt! This quilt has become one of my favorites to do. In fact, I just purchased a Viking Diamond embroidery machine! Maybe I'll be able to make one of these awesome monkey quilts, too! *sigh* I can't believe I just purchased a Viking Diamond machine. It should be ready for pickup at the end of next week! Merry Christmas to me!
