Stitched Memories
I'm working on a T-shirt quilt right now. My client brought me 23 shirts to use as blocks. I've prepared those and I'm piecing those rows together today. It is going to look GREAT.
The quilt itself will be a 25 block quilt, of which two are specialty blocks. The center block will be a photo composition highlighting her daughter's graduation photo with one of her as a 5 year old. It will be the perfect centerpiece. I'll post a photo of it when I get it finished. This quilt is going to be be a wonderful way for her daughter to have her childhood memories stitched together with love!
The specialty block I worked on over the weekend was a custom Girl Scout block. I took my client's Brownie badges off her old uniform and sewed them onto this custom block. Isn't it great? I was a Brownie a long time ago and I was surprised at how many memories I had of my Girl Scout adventures while sewing.
