Here are a few more recent finishes by our wonderful renters! Sampler Quilt Valerie pieced this interesting sampler from batik and white half-square triangle units. I'm not sure which pattern she used, but if you search for Triangle Gatherings, you'll find a link to one half-square triangle quiltalong being offered by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings. If you look at the blocks one by one, you'll see that each one is made up of sixteen half-square triangles, turned various ways to make different patterns. No two blocks are alike! Valerie used a white thread and A Little Bit This for her quilting. Sampler Quilt Hunter Star Quilt Judy loves Missouri Star Quilt Company designs, and her Hunter's Star top is one of them. Her fabrics are outdoorsy - see the kayaks, the pine trees, the forest animals? What perfect choices for a quilt pattern called Hunter's Star! Judy used the Square Spiral pantograph and a light neutral thread to quilt her top. Hunter Star Quilt En Provence Bonnie Hunter Quilt Colleen was delighted to get this one quilted! Her quilt, En Provence, was Bonnie Hunter's online mystery quilt last fall. Colleen used most of the original colors of the challenge (she switched the light pink in for the yellow), so she chose a light neutral thread for the quilting to allow the colors to shine forth. Her pantograph of choice was Toss Up, which softened the piecing and made the quilt even more inviting. En Provence Bonnie Hunter Quilt Friendship Star Block Finally, Debbie quilted this small quilt using the orange peel design board. A perennial favorite among the design boards, the orange peel design gives beautiful texture to just about any project. Debbie's quilt featured green Friendship Star blocks in many different fabrics, and using a consistent overall quilting design allows the observer to focus on the fabrics. Debbie used a light neutral thread that blended well across all of the fabrics for her quilting. Great job by all of our renters, as usual! Thank you for quilting your quilts at Quilted Joy!
