Sandy's Knights and Castle Quilt
The backing is a giant battle scene of horses, swords, knights and castles against a sea of green. Many of the knights have the Fleur de Lis on thier shields so it made sense to put the Funky Fleur de Lis pantograph on Sandy's quilt. It echoes the knights without being overly stuffy or grownup. Sandy is blessed with some great grandsons and this quilt is sure to be a hit. She did tell me however, that now her grandson is now facinated with Greek Myths. I have no doubt, though, that her grandson will enjoy the majestic knights this quilt is built around.
My little BirdMan was upset at the amount of kitten shots in my blog over the last few days so here he is with our noisy parrot, Apollo. So far the kitten hasn't figured out that the feathered thing in the cage might be interesting but I know that day will come. Apollo believes himself to be an eagle; his beak is quite sharp so I know he can defend himself if Oscar gets too close. Our adult cat is absolutely terrified of him!
