Here's what our renters have been doing recently... What a great gift for Grandma! Make a quilt with the clothes she bought for the grandbabies. Rena came in for her longarm certification class and quilted this keepsake quilt for a friend. The friend assembled clothing that she had purchased for her grandchildren into a very creative top. Don't you just love the caterpillars made from round scraps? Bibs and shirts and socks and all things baby made it into this quilt. Rena quilted it from the front of the machine because she needed to make sure that she avoided quilting over the numerous dimensional objects like bib ties. What a great gift for Grandma! You can't see it from the picture, but Rena had a broken foot and needed to use a scooter to get around. We were able to set her up with an adjustable saddle stool so she didn't have to stand during her time at the machine. She also used the Freedom, which is on hydraulic lifts. It can be raised and lowered easily to accommodate shorter and taller quilters. The handles on the front of the machine are also fully adjustable for all ergonomic needs. No excuses - bring in those UFOs and we will set you up for success! pat-autism-center-quilt Pat is an art therapist and fiber artist who always has neat projects to quilt. This quilt incorporates blocks drawn on by kids in the New Perspectives Art Program at the University of Louisville Autism Center. Somehow, Pat found the perfect border to tie the many colors of this quilt together. She quilted it from the front, doing a freehand spiral. Debi's super cute and modern baby quilt for a new grandbaby. Quilted with APQS longarm machine at Quilted Joy Debi brought in this sweet baby quilt earlier this year. Her daughter had already decorated the nursery and wanted the quilt to tie in with the colors she'd chosen. They picked out a number of modern fabrics for the top that work beautifully together. This quilt will be suitable for a young girl as well as a modern baby. Debi quilted the quilt using our Toss Up pantograph. Isn't it cute? Don't forget - the holidays are approaching quickly!
