Quilted Joy's Longarm Renters are Ready for the Fourth
Patriotic quilts have been a part of our common history since the country began. And there is no slowing down now. With the fourth of July just around the corner, it is not a bad time to plan a quilt for it. The Star-Spangled Banner is only one of the twenty-nine flags in the world that is made of red, white, and blue. Even more of them have stars. But when you are in the USA, anything that has red, white, and blue automatically feels patriotic regardless of the shape it is in. These longarm machine renters are ready for the Fourth with their patriotic-themed quilts. Maybe one will inspire you to make one of your own.
Sawtooth and stripes
Karen was ready for the Fourth last year with this quilt. The concept is simple, but very well done. Ten blue sawtooth stars lining two sides of fifteen red strips pay an obvious nod to our nation’s flag without replicating it. She quilted it with one of our star paper pantographs that we have on hand for renters. This one is Star Dance. It is a nice open design with stars and swirls that is a real favorite with our customers. I can see this quilt looking great on a front porch in July, can’t you?
Squares On Point
Cheri put this together with several different red, white, and blue prints and a lot of white. She did a phenomenal job of getting all of those blocks on point to each other. She also quilted this with the Star Dance paper pantograph. Because stars are only seen in Cheri’s fabric prints, using a quilting design with stars really adds a great element. Now she’s ready for the fourth as soon as this quilt comes out.
Chain link for Charity
There are many variations of the same block out there. This is a variation of a chainlink. Valerie made multiple red, white, and blue quilts of this size so she could donate them as wheelchair quilts for vets. She quilted this with stars as well, though she quilted this freehand. She quilted stars mixed with loops and curls. It’s a lovely addition to this top. Whoever receives this will be ready for the Fourth of July parades and fireworks this year.
With the Fourth of July coming up in only two months, you should have plenty of time to find a pattern and complete a quilt of your own. All it needs is three colors. How are you getting ready for the Fourth this year? Once you’re done, connect with us on Facebook or Instagram. We’d love to see what you’ve come up with!
